for Darren Aronofsky's "The Wrestler" Was a Roaring Success!
WXW would like to thank all of the great fans who helped make this past weekend’s filming of Darren Aronofsky’s “The Wrestler” so special. For two days, Hasbrouck Heights, NJ’s Pioneer Club was transformed into a multifunctional movie set. On both Friday and Saturday night, in-ring scenes featuring famed actor Mickey Rourke (9 ½ Weeks, Sin City) were filmed in front of our fantastic live crowds, creating a uniquely interactive movie making experience.
At ringside all weekend was Mickey Rourke's trainer, 2007 WWE Hall of Famer Afa the Wild Samoan, proudly overseeing the wrestling action. In addition to the matches, several locker room scenes were filmed featuring some of your favorite WXW superstars.

the Wild Samoan for giving us this amazing opportunity and
once-in-a-lifetime experience that we never would have
received without his guidance and support. Thank you Pops!
In between
scene filmings, fans were treated to raffles and official WXW
matches that nearly blew the roof off the Pioneer Club. Keep

We now look
ahead to this Sunday, February 10th, as WXW returns
to Mountainville Hall in Allentown, PA for a special 5pm LIVE
broadcast of WXW RAGE TV! Bring your signs, your enthusiasm
and your friends for this very special engagement. Last time
we were in Allentown, actor Mickey Rourke, famed Hollywood
stunt coordinator Douglas Crosby, and co-producer Mark Heyman made
an unscheduled appearance in the building…what will happen
this Sunday when we go LIVE AT 5??
