Wild Samoan Training Center Graduate, WXW Ring Announcer Chris Russo Signed to WWE!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WWE Hall of Famer Afa the Wild Samoan is proud to announce that WXW ring announcer and broadcaster Chris Russo has signed a contract with the WWE. "When Russo first came to me and told me he had the dream of getting into this great sport, I asked him why, since he was finishing up his MBA in Business. He told me that his true love was wrestling, and that he wanted to be trained by the best. I took him under my wing and gave him the opportunity."

Russo, a graduate of the Wild Samoan Training Center and proud recipient of the Usos Foundation Lia Maivia Scholarship, received the news after impressing at two separate tryouts for the WWE developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW). Since joining Afa's organization in late 2009, Russo gained the knowledge, experience and exposure which did not go unrecognized by the WWE.

Afa's motto has always been to help "train you, brain you, and make fame of you." With the guidance, teaching, and support of Afa, Russo is able to live his dream of performing for the largest sports entertainment company in the world. The Wild Samoan Training Center continues its tradition of grooming WWE superstars including Dave Batista, Gene Snitsky, and Billy Kidman. In addition, Afa trained Mickey Rourke for his role in The Wrestler. Director Darren Aronofsky said "When we started to look for a trainer...all roads led to [Afa]." Afa knows Russo will represent WXW proudly as he continues his journey through the WWE. On behalf of the Wild Samoan Training Center and WXW, we wish Russo all the best.

NEW WXW WOMEN’S CHAMP! EXPLOSIVE CONFRONTATION BETWEEN REF AND ANNOUNCER!!

1) Reggie Rhythm and Pablo Marquez def. Highwaymen

2) CJ O’Doyle def. Brent Dail via disqualification after Dail inadvertently knocks out the referee. However, Dail retains title due to the DQ finish

3) Sean Maluta def. Nick Nero

After intermission, WXW ring announcer and broadcaster Chris Russo calls out commissioner Ricky Santana to register a formal complaint in regards to referee Aaron’s dubious fast count in the Maluta vs. Nero match. Santana then quips back that Russo should settle his problem face-to-face, which pushes Russo to call out Aaron. In the ring, Russo confronts the referee about the slow count and to explain himself. Hearing no response from Aaron enrages Russo enough to slap the ref clear across the face! However, Russo makes the mistake of turning his back on Aaron who proceeds to knock him down and level heavy punches against him! Commissioner Santana pulls off Aaron and proposes a match at the next show between the two to settle their differences before exiting the ring!

4) Mercedes Martinez def. Kimberly to become the NEW WXW Women’s Champion

5) Mark Silva def. Dalton Kelly to retain the WXW Heavyweight Championship. Afterwards, Brian Maddox sneaks into the ring and delivers a devastating Black Hole Slam onto the unsuspecting champion!

6) Sean Maluta, Ricky Santana, and King Haku def. Brian Maddox, Nick Nero, and Alex G

How will Alex G. respond to his loss against the Samoan Dynasty? Will Maddox pay for crossing the path of the Outback Silvaback? Will Aaron and Russo be able to settle their score in the ring? Find out October 1st at the Minneola Rec Center!

Results from WXW's August 27th event!
WXW Results for August 27th

1) Brent Dail def. CJ O’Doyle with his trademark Superman Punch to retain the WXW Television Championship

2) Kimberly retains her WXW Women’s Championship against top contender Mercedes Martinez after Martinez pulls the referee in front of an attacking Kimberly, thereby having her disqualified

3) Highwaymen def. Sean Maluta and Nick Nero to become NEW WXW Tag Team Champions after Nero purposely attacks Maluta with a Backcracker and leaves the ring, leaving Maluta at the mercy of the Highwaymen to pin him

4) Mark Silva def. Dalton Kelly to retain the WXW Heavyweight Championship. Attacks with brass knuckles and a steel chair were not enough for Kelly as he succumbed to a devastating spear, forcing him out of the ring and not answering the ref’s 10-count outside the ring.

5) The heavily anticipated matchup between EZ Money Alex G and Haku gets thrown out almost as soon as it starts when Alex G throws powder into Haku’s face followed by Sean Maluta rushing the ring from the audience after seeing what had happened. From there, Haku and Maluta are attacked by numerous WXW villains until WXW commission Ricky Santana and other fan favorites enter the fray and even the score! Santana then issues an open challenge to Alex to pick any tag partner because he will be going up against Haku and himself at the next show!!! Just as Alex leaves the arena, WWE Hall of Famer Afa the Wild Samoan—a constant verbal victim of Alex’s—pulls G right back into the Minneola Rec Center and headbutts him right onto the floor!! With the fans going absolutely nuts and chanting Afa’s name, the show finally comes to an absolutely scorching end!

We’ll see you on September 10 for our next show at the Minneola Rec Center!! Make sure to bring canned goods for our drive to help the local Food Bank

Before the first match, #1 contender Perfect Creation steps into the ring and boasts that he will become the new Heavyweight Champion when he pins Mark Silva later in the evening. He is so sure that he puts his CAREER on the line! If he loses, he says he will retire from in-ring competition FOREVER!

Maxx Stardom def. Chris Chambers

“The Natural Born Fighter” Brent Dail def. Nick Nero, Sean Maluta, and CJ O’Doyle to become the NEW WXW Television Champion

WXW Women’s Champion Kimberly def. WXW C4 Champion Niya

Brian Maddox def. Excalibur

Sean Maluta and Nick Nero def. the Latin Assassins and the team of Afroboy and Reggie Rhythm to become NEW WXW Tag Team Champions

EZ Money Alex G def. Sugaa in a stretcher match

Dalton Kelly def. Underdogg in a Kiss my Foot vs. Mask match; Underdogg had to remove his mask, which revealed that he is really the Puerto Rican Hound Dogg

“The Outback Silverback” Mark Silva def. Perfect Creation Rich Criado to retain the Heavyweight Title. Valiantly as he tried, Criado was no match for the 320 pound beast, as he received not one, not two, but THREE spears, keeping the veteran down on the mat for the 1-2-3. With the stipulation PC put in place earlier in the show, Criado has to hang up his boots forever.
WXW would like to personally thank PC for his 15 years of hard work and dedication he put into this company. Whether loved or hated, the fans always could count on Criado to put on a masterful performance. His presence will surely be missed.
